Orbeli Center Hosted the Delegation Headed by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran
2 m. | 2024-09-17O n September 12, Orbeli Analytical Center hosted the delegation headed by Mohammad Hassan Sheikholeslami, Deputy Foreign Minister and President of the Institute for Political and International Studies of the MFA of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The delegation also included Khalil Shirgholami, Deputy for Research and Studies, Mohammad Farhad Koleini, Senior Fellow Researcher of Foreign Policy and Strategic Studies, and Mehdi Sobhani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of deepening ties between partner scientific centers, diversification of interaction, including creating a sustainable form of cooperation and implementing joint educational programs among young people. They stressed its necessity, especially in current geopolitical and regional realities. Both sides highly appreciated the consistent will, willingness and capacity to provide applied results at the scientific-analytical and expert level in the complex of dynamically developing Armenia-Iran multi-sector relations.
Furthermore, an effective discussion and exchange of valuable views on current geopolitical and regional realities, Armenia-Iran relations, shared interests and common challenges took place with the participation of representatives from both partner structures. Both sides made forecasts about the possible content of the future world order and the place and role of the two friendly neighboring countries in it.
The two sides agreed to continue further talks in Tehran in the near future.
