On September 2, a roundtable discussion titled “The Digital Future of the Crossroads of Peace: Artificial Intelligence, Security and Innovative Infrastructure” began in Yerevan. The discussion is attended by representatives of government agencies, the expert community, and the information technology (IT) sector from Armenia and other countries, including Russia, India, and Kazakhstan.



The event was organized by the Orbeli Analytical Center of the Information and Public Relations Center of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, in collaboration with the Eurasian Development Bank. 



The discussion focused on the role of Armenia’s emerging IT sector in shaping the digital component of the “Crossroads of Peace” project, as well as the new opportunities that digital technologies and artificial intelligence offer in the areas of border management, infrastructure protection, and secure connectivity.



The event began with welcoming remarks by Gor Tsarukyan, Director of the Information and Public Relations Center, followed by opening remarks by Michael Yalanuzyan, Coordinator of the Orbeli Analytical Center. The main speakers were Gevorg Mantashyan, Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia, and Hovhannes Abrahamyan, Head of the Regional Energy Markets Department of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia. 



At the beginning of the event, the official website of the Government of the Republic of Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” project, designed and launched by the Information and Public Relations Center, was also presented. It was noted that the newly launched website, crossroadsofpeace.am already features a number of thematic articles, interviews, and infographics.
